During investigation, the customs team found gold worth around Rs 45 lakh in the form of paste inside the passenger’s underwear. Customs officials said that the passenger had smuggled the gold by adopting this unique method to avoid detection. Apart from this, two whole gold bars of 24 carat purity and one cut bar were also seized from him. She had hidden these very cleverly in her purse. Officials said that the estimated market price of this gold weighing 324.140 grams is Rs 51,73,274.
