Did stock market losses take the life of an engineer?

He had been investing in the stock market for the past few months, but was under deep stress due to the recent continuous losses. The loss became so severe that he started having a mental breakdown. It is being told that due to this financial pressure he had also started drinking alcohol. As tensions with the family increased, his wife went to her maternal home with the children.
WhatsApp message sent before death became a big clue
A few hours before the suicide, Luv Kumar sent a message on WhatsApp to his wife in which it was written that he was going to commit suicide by carbon monoxide. Seeing this message, the wife called him several times, but when the phone was not answered, she immediately informed the family. When the family reached home, the door was locked from inside. On information, Kankhal police reached the spot and broke the door.
The room was found filled with smoke, coal was burning on the heater.
When the police entered the room, there was smoke inside. Coal was burning on the heater and the entire room was filled with carbon monoxide. Luv Kumar was found lying unconscious and was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Written in suicide note “I am defeated”
Police have found a suicide note from the room in which Luv Kumar wrote – “I am taking this step after being fed up with financial problems, losses in the stock market and property disputes.” Senior Sub-Inspector Satyendra Bhandari said that further investigation is underway and the body has been sent for post-mortem.
Is economic crisis and mental stress becoming the new worry?
This case again raises a question whether in today’s time the economic pressure and investment losses are breaking people mentally? Every day lakhs of people try their luck in the stock market, but the effect of loss sometimes becomes fatal.
