The Chief Minister emphasises the importance of collaboration in knowledge economy, infrastructure development, semiconductors and renewable energy

On the third day of his visit to Singapore on Tuesday, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu met Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and former Prime Minister and current Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

The discussions focused on forging a robust partnership between Andhra Pradesh and Singapore across key sectors.

During his interaction with Mr. Shanmugaratnam, Mr. Naidu emphasised the importance of collaboration in areas such as the knowledge economy, infrastructure development, semiconductors, revival of Amaravati as a planned capital city, urban planning, and renewable energy.

“The visit marked the beginning of a new chapter in Andhra Pradesh’s strategic engagement with Singapore. We are confident that it will lead to long-term cooperation across critical domains,” he said.

In his meeting with Mr. Lee Hsien Loong, Mr. Naidu highlighted the potential of his visit to cement the ties between India and Singapore.

He noted that Andhra Pradesh, with its reform-oriented governance and pro-investment policies, is poised to become a key partner for Singapore in India’s growth story.

Both meetings are being seen as instrumental in laying the foundation for enhanced bilateral engagements and fostering global-standard development in Andhra Pradesh, said an official release on Tuesday.
