Former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda said that JDS and BJP will contest the local body elections separately. This alliance is only for Lok Sabha-Assembly. He announced a big rally in Hassan on 24 January to answer the Congress.
Hassan: In the meeting of JDS workers held on Monday at Gyanakshi Kalyan Mandap in the city, JDS supremo and former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda said that BJP and JDS will contest separately in the upcoming local body elections in the state. He reiterated that there will be no alliance. He said that the alliance between BJP and JDS in Karnataka is only for the Lok Sabha and Assembly. Talking passionately about his political career and the fight ahead, he said that JDS is still strong today. Praising the workers, he said that the credit for maintaining the identity of the party at the national level goes to them.

When we associated with Modiji, our ministers and leaders from Kerala came to us and said that they have to associate with the Left party. He asked for permission. Big rally in Hassan on 24th January to challenge Congress
