Lucknow Railway Hospital Fire: A fire broke out in the Railway Hospital of Lucknow due to short circuit in the morning. The fire team brought the fire in the CCTV server room under control within an hour. 22 patients were shifted safely. There is no news of any casualty.
Lucknow. There was chaos due to a sudden fire in the Railway Hospital of the capital Lucknow in the early hours of Monday. It is being told that the fire started due to short circuit, which started spreading slowly. However, the fire brigade team reached in time and all the patients were taken out safely. It is fortunate that there is no news of any casualty in this accident.
Fire broke out at 5 in the morning, fire team reached the spot
The incident occurred around 5 am in the morning, when smoke was seen rising from the CCTV server room located in the hospital premises. The staff immediately informed the fire brigade. Within no time, two fire engines reached the spot and after an hour’s effort the fire was brought under control.

22 patients were shifted safely
According to the hospital administration, as soon as the fire broke out, the staff took control of the situation and started taking the patients to a safe place. With the help of fire personnel, a total of 22 patients, including those from the emergency ward, were shifted to another part of the hospital premises with the help of wheelchairs and stretchers.

Fire spread from server room, extinguished in an hour
Preliminary investigation has revealed that the fire was caused by short circuit in the server room and CCTV control room. The power supply was immediately cut off to stop the spread of the fire. After about an hour of efforts the fire was completely brought under control.
Hospital administration gave clarification, ordered investigation, security arrangements will be strengthened
The hospital administration says that no patient or staff has been injured in the incident. All the patients were shifted to a safe place and the electricity system of the ward has been restored after investigation. The official said that only the server system and some record equipment were damaged in the fire, which are being repaired. After the incident, the railway administration has ordered an inspection of the electrical wiring and safety equipment of the entire hospital. Officials said that the fire safety system will be further strengthened to ensure that such incidents do not happen in future.
The fire department took timely action and averted a major accident. At present all the services of the hospital are functioning normally.
