Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has expressed happiness and congratulated on the birth of five cubs by Indian-born female cheetah ‘Mukhi’ in the Kuno National Park of the state.

Mother and cub completely healthy

The Chief Minister said that ‘Mukhi’ and all her five cubs are healthy. He said that this is a very important achievement for the cheetah reintroduction program in India.

Historic achievement for Project Cheetah

Dr. Yadav said that at the age of 33 months, ‘Mukhi’ has now become the first female cheetah born in India to give birth to cubs. This project is a major milestone in the history of Cheetah. This achievement shows that Indian habitats are proving to be safe and suitable for the cheetah species.
