This case is of a family court of Bhopal. According to reports, a 54-year-old central government officer gave Rs 1.5 crore to his wife to marry her 42-year-old junior colleague in her own department. This matter came to light when the elder daughter of the colleague approached the family court. People on social media are comparing this case with the 90s blockbuster film “Judaai”.

In a central government department, a senior female officer fell in love with a colleague 42 years her junior in the same department. After falling in love with this 52 year old officer, the man started moving away from his home. Due to this, he started ignoring his wife and two daughters aged 16 and 12. There were frequent fights between the parents over this matter at home, due to which the elder daughter went into depression. Finally, in search of peace, the elder daughter approached the family court, after which the matter took a new turn.

Eventually, the junior colleague’s wife demanded compensation for the divorce. He asked for a duplex flat and Rs 27 lakh. The female officer agreed to pay this amount from her entire life’s earnings, after which both of them got divorced. After this, the senior officer married his junior colleague and lover. Family Court counselors also said that when there is nothing left in the relationship, it is better to separate in a respectful manner rather than forcefully keeping them together. He also said that this is better for the mental health of children and the financial security of the family. Madhya Pradesh is one of those states in India where divorce cases are highest.
