New Delhi: An independent cricket regulator has let off England’s white-ball skipper Harry Brook and all-rounder Jacob Bethell with a warning following an
investigation into an altercation with a nightclub bouncer in New Zealand last year.
Brook and Bethell were involved in an altercation in Wellington after being denied entry into a nightclub. Seamer Josh Tongue was also present during the incident.
Brook had initially claimed to have been alone in the altercation but in January admitted to have lied to protect his team-mates.
On Wednesday the regulator said Brook and Bethell accepted to have breached the professional conduct regulations.
“No further action is to be taken by the Regulator in relation to Josh Tongue,” the regulator said.
