Sahibzada Farhan Century: Pakistani opener Sahibzada Farhan scored another century in T20. He did this feat on April 1 in the match played in PSL 2026. He scored a strong century for Multan Sultans while playing against Hyderabad Kingsmen. The big thing was that Sahibzada wrote the script of his century in run chase. Along with nailing it, he has also sounded alarm bells about breaking of Babar Azam’s Pakistani record of scoring most centuries in T20.
Sahibzada Farhan played an amazing innings
Playing first, Hyderabad Kingsmen had scored 225 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, while chasing the target of 226 runs, Sahibzada Farhan, who came to open for Multan Sultans, first made a partnership of 104 runs with Steve Smith for the first wicket. After that he also wrote the story of his another century in T20. While doing this, Sahibzada remained unbeaten till the end. Meaning, once he came to the crease, he returned only after giving victory to Multan Sultans.
Second PSL century scored in 55 balls
Sahibzada Farhan’s inning was of 57 balls against Hyderabad Kingsmen, in which he scored unbeaten 106 runs with 15 sixes and fours, which included 8 sixes and 7 fours. During this, he completed his century on the 55th ball. This is his second century in PSL. Earlier, he had scored his first century in Pakistan Super League in just 49 balls.
Babar Azam’s record in danger
Talking about T20 cricket, this is his 9th century from his bat in 159 innings played so far. This means that Sahibzada is now not far away from the Pakistani record of scoring most 11 T20 centuries in the name of Babar Azam. Babar has scored 11 centuries after playing 336 T20 innings. But, Sahibzada Farhan has now rung alarm bells for Babar Azam.
equaled Virat Kohli
By scoring his 9th century in T20, Sahibzada Farhan has equaled the record of Virat Kohli. Sahibzada is still only 29 years old. If he continues to play like this, he may have a chance to break not only the Pakistani record held in the name of Babar but also Chris Gayle’s world record of 22 centuries in T20.
Multan Sultans won by 6 wickets
In PSL 2026, thanks to Sahibzada Farhan’s century, Multan Sultans defeated Hyderabad Kingsmen by 6 wickets. Sahibzada was chosen player of the match for his amazing innings.
