Kolkata: The stock market witnessed a recovery rally on April 1. Expectations of a de-escalation of the conflict between the US and Iran brought buying interest back to the market. Sensex 30 rose 1,186.77 points, or 1.65%, to close at 73,134.32, while the Nifty 50 gained 348 points, or 1.56%, to reach 22,679.40. Mid-cap and small-cap stocks also saw strong gains. The Nifty Midcap index rose 2.2%, while the Smallcap index jumped 3.3%. The following stocks could be in focus today April 2.

InterGlobe Aviation: The company that runs IndiGo has revised fuel charges on domestic and international routes for all new bookings by an extent of Rs 275 in domestic routes to Rs 10,000 on international routes effective today.
Prestige Estates Projects: The company has secured a prime land plot in Sector 92, Gurgaon. It has struck a Joint Development Agreement for a 17.212-acre land parcel. The area to be developed covers about 3 million square feet of saleable area an can have a Gross Development Value of Rs 4,200 crore.
Wipro: Nagendra Bandaru, who is currently the President and Managing Partner of Technology Services Global Business Lines (GBLs), has been appointed as the CEO of the AI-Native Business & Platforms unit.
MM Forgings: R Venkatakrishnan has resigned as CFO due to age and health reasons, effective April 1.
Glenmark Pharmaceuticals: Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Inc., USA, has announced that it will manage the commercialisation and distribution of Ryaltris (Olopatadine Hydrochloride and Mometasone Furoate) Nasal Spray in the US from April 1.
Lupin: Lupin’s subsidiary Nanomi BV, Netherlands has struck an agreement to acquire a 43.38% stake in Multicare Pharmaceuticals Philippines, Inc. (MPPI), a subsidiary of Nanomi, for a consideration of $39.6 million. The deal will be completed by May 2026.
Varun Beverages: The company has fixed April 8 as the record date for equity shareholders to get a final dividend of Rs 0.50 per share for financial year ending Dec 2025.
SBI Cards and Payment Services: Amit Batra has been appointed as EVP and chief strategy officer of the company from July 1, 2026.
