He has clearly said that he did not resign, but had demanded technical resignation in his letter sent to the President. He says that his intention is not to leave the job, but to draw attention towards some flaws present in the system.
Wrote a letter on not getting posting
IAS Rinku Singh Rahi told that he had written a letter to the President on March 26. He wrote this letter because he had not been given any new posting for a long time. He said that if the government does not want to employ him as an IAS, then he should be sent back to his original service i.e. PCS (Provincial Civil Service) cadre. According to Rinku Singh Rahi, he is not worried about the position or posting. He says that wherever the government gives him work, he will work with full responsibility.

Rinku Singh Rahi made it clear that his aim is not to leave the job. He said that sometimes some officers do not understand the government system properly and get frustrated and leave the job. But it is not so with them. He wants to continue working in the service. He believes that there are some shortcomings in the government system, which can be rectified and in this spirit he had written a letter to the President.

IAS Rinku Singh Rahi said that his letter was misinterpreted in the media. In many places the news started circulating that he had resigned, whereas it is not so. He said that every officer has his own responsibility and he should fulfill the same. In such a situation, he himself will not go to explain why he is not being given posting.
“I have faced punishment before also”
Rinku Singh Rahi also said that he has already suffered the brunt of posting and punishment. According to him, perhaps this is the first time since independence that a junior IAS officer has been treated like this. He said that such incidents do not give a good message for the administrative system.
Refused to take salary
Rinku Singh Rahi gave another big statement and said that if he is not given work, he will not even take salary. It is worth noting that earlier also he had come into limelight after the incident of holding sit-ups in front of lawyers in Shahjahanpur.
