IMD forecasts light rain, thunderstorms for Telangana, AP

Hyderabad: Maximum temperatures are likely to be below normal by 2-3°C during the next three days and thereafter around normal for next four days, India Meteorological Department said.

Light to moderate rain, thunderstorms accompanied with lightning, gusty winds (40-50 kmph) is very likely to occur in Nizamabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Adilabad, Asifabad, Mancherial, Yadadri Bhuvangiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal-Malkjgiri, Vikarabad and other districts of Telangana till April 6, IMD said.

In Hyderabad, light rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds (30-40 kmph) is likely towards the evening or night from April 1-5 in all six zones.

Several districts in Telangana are likely to record about 38-39°C and Hyderabad is likely to record 36-37°C as regular rains are keeping the temperatures in check.

AP weather update:

Thunderstorms accompanied with lightning likely at some places with gusty winds of 30-40 kmph is likely in NCAP, SCAP, Yanam and Rayalaseema over the next five days, IMD Amaravati said in its forecast.

Weather inference:

The upper air cyclonic circulation over coastal AP and adjoining Telangana at 0.9 km above mean sea level has been less marked.
