If you are a member of Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) and are facing problems related to your PF account, money withdrawal, transfer or any other service, then you can easily lodge a complaint online on the EPFiGMS portal. This platform is run by the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) and is completely free. EPFO has also said, Dear EPF members, most of our services are available free and online. If there is any problem, lodge a complaint on the EPFiGMS portal.
How to complain on EPFiGMS portal
- Visit EPFiGMS portal
- Click on Register Grievance
- Fill your details (Select PF Member, Pensioner, Employer etc.)
- Enter your UAN number
- Enter the security code and click on Get Details
- Check your personal and PF details
- Fill the complaint details (like withdrawal, transfer, pension)
- Write your problem in simple language
- Click on Submit
After registering the complaint, you will get an Acknowledgment Number, through which you can track the status of your complaint.

How to check complaint status
- Visit EPFiGMS portal
- Click on View Status
- Enter your registration number, mobile number and security code
- Submit and check status
What to do if there is a delay in response
- login to portal
- Go to Send Reminder section
- Send reminder by entering complaint number and mobile number
If you are still not satisfied with the solution, you can escalate the complaint to a higher authority through the same portal.
Linking Aadhaar-UAN now easy
EPFO has also simplified the process of linking Aadhaar with UAN and updating details. Now this work can also be done through UMANG app.
How to link Aadhaar with UMANG app
- Open UMANG app and login
- Go to Services and select EPFO section
- Click on Aadhaar Seeding in e-KYC Services
- Enter UAN and verify with OTP
- Enter Aadhaar number and confirm with OTP
- Aadhaar will be linked as soon as OTP is verified.
With this easy process your EPF account becomes completely updated and ready for online services.
