On one hand, the IPL 2026 season has started and is gaining momentum, while on the other hand, the 11th season of Pakistan Super League is also being played nearby. This season of PSL, which started just 2 days before the IPL, is gathering discussion as per expectations but the reason for this is not the matches or tremendous performances, but issues like controversies and mismanagement. Amid such controversies, now storm and rain have put the tournament organizer PCB in trouble.
Tuesday 31st March PSL In the 7th match, there was to be a clash between Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi. This match was to be played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. But even before the match started, heavy rain and stormy wind wreaked havoc in Lahore, due to which the match could not start on time.

But while it was not possible to start the match due to rain and storm and no one had control over it, the arrangements of the Pakistan Board also went to waste during this period. Even before the Champions Trophy last year, the drainage system of Gaddafi Stadium, which was upgraded by spending crores of rupees, was exposed.

Due to brief rain, the ground was filled with so much water that almost half the ball was seen submerged in water. The storm was so strong that some members of the ground staff, who were trying their best to cover the pitch, fell badly along with the covers due to a strong gust of wind. This recent video of Gaddafi Stadium went viral on social media.
