CM Yogi Adityanath gave instructions to prepare a clear roadmap for developed Uttar Pradesh 2047. Special emphasis was given on $6 trillion economy, MSME, agriculture, digital and infrastructure development.
Lucknow. Reviewing the progress of ‘Develop Uttar Pradesh @2047’ action plan on Tuesday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that it is not just a vision document but a clear roadmap for the economic, social and structural transformation of the state.
He directed that by making it comprehensive and participatory, suggestions from more than 98 lakh public suggestions, experts, industry organizations and other stakeholders should be included.
Public participation will create a strong vision document
The Chief Minister said that this vision should be divided into sector-wise short-term, medium-term and long-term plans. He stressed that this document should be practical, result oriented and time bound, so that the goal of making Uttar Pradesh a developed state by 2047 can be achieved.
Clear targets set for 2030, 2036 and 2047
The Chief Minister directed that the vision document be divided into goals for 2030, 2036 and 2047. All departments were asked to prepare their action plans as per quarterly and annual targets, in which responsibilities and expected results were clear.
‘Vision 2047’ will be implemented up to the district level
He said that the state level vision should be implemented up to the district, city and panchayat level. For this, ‘District Vision 2047’ will be prepared, so that development plans can be made according to local needs and resources.
Development model based on economic power, manpower and vitality
The Chief Minister said that the basis of developed Uttar Pradesh rests on three major pillars – economic power, people power and vitality. Under these, agriculture, industry, service sector, infrastructure, social sector and good governance will be taken forward together.
Emphasis on real-time monitoring and dynamic planning
The Chief Minister said that for effective implementation of the action plan, arrangements should be made for monitoring through real-time dashboard. He clarified that this document should not be static but dynamic and action-oriented.
Target of 6 trillion dollar economy
It was told in the meeting that Uttar Pradesh has set a target of becoming a 6 trillion dollar economy by 2047. Apart from this, a target of 1 trillion dollars by 2030 and 2 trillion dollars by 2036 has been set. For this, approximately 16 percent annual growth rate is considered necessary. The state’s economy currently stands at around $356 billion and contributes more than 9 percent to the country’s GDP.
Balanced development in agriculture, industry and service sectors
The Chief Minister said that balanced and high productivity based development is necessary in agriculture, industry and service sectors. Instructions were given to promote smart farming, value chain, export-based production and digital platforms in the agriculture sector. Besides, emphasis was laid on the development of animal husbandry and fisheries, describing them as the strong base of the rural economy.
Special focus on MSME and industrial development
The Chief Minister said that Uttar Pradesh will be developed as a technology-based and export-oriented manufacturing hub. It was told in the meeting that the contribution of MSME in the manufacturing GVA of the state is about 46 percent. MoUs worth more than Rs 50 lakh crore have been signed to promote investment.
Promote digital economy and startup ecosystem
Describing the service sector as the main engine of development, the Chief Minister gave instructions to promote IT, ITES, Artificial Intelligence, tourism and startups. He said that digital infrastructure and skill development will be given priority to make Uttar Pradesh a global hub of knowledge and innovation.
Population and urbanization will boost development
It was told in the meeting that Uttar Pradesh is a big consumer market with a population of 24 crores. It is estimated that the urbanization rate will exceed 60 percent by 2047, which will accelerate economic activities.
Emphasis on infrastructure and connectivity
The Chief Minister said that connectivity should be strengthened through expressways, airports, logistics and industrial corridors. This will increase investment and employment opportunities rapidly.
Step towards ‘Developed India’ with inclusive development
The Chief Minister said that ‘Developed Uttar Pradesh @2047’ is not only a campaign for economic development but also for social justice, inclusivity and improvement in quality of life. He directed the officials that this document should make the state a leader in the goal of developed India.
