Ashok Kharat Baba Viral Video Case: A big update has come out in the Ashok Kharat case of Nashik. Investigation has revealed that videos related to the case have reached porn websites. A case that came to light from Nashik in Maharashtra is becoming a topic of discussion in the entire country these days. Ashok Kharat alias ‘Bhondu Baba’, who claims himself to be the incarnation of Mahadev, is now surrounded by serious allegations. He has been accused of sexually exploiting women by luring them.
The matter became more sensitive when many alleged videos related to this case started going viral on social media. After these videos surfaced, the lives of the victimized women and their families have been deeply affected. Many families have reduced going out of the house and some people have been forced to do ‘work from home’.
Pressure on victims’ families increased due to video going viral
According to local reports, the families of the victims are going through a very difficult time after the video surfaced. A relative of one of the victims said that she had never imagined that the matter would reach this level. He said that after the video went viral, the situation became so bad that he had to postpone going to office for several days. Now he has sought permission from his office to work from home, so that the family does not have to face more mental pressure.

The arrest took place on March 17
Nashik Crime Branch had arrested Ashok Kharat on March 17 based on the complaint of a woman. The court has sent him on police remand till April 1. The complaint alleged that Kharat lured a 35-year-old married woman by performing religious rituals and claiming to have divine powers. The woman says that the accused made her unconscious by giving her intoxicants and raped her several times with the help of things like hypnosis. These incidents are alleged to have occurred several times between November 2022 and December 2025.
Big revelations coming out in the investigation
During the investigation of this case, many important things have come to light, which have made the case more serious.
- The court has extended the police custody of the accused till April 1, 2026.
- The investigating agencies suspect that some doctors were also helping the accused.
- It is alleged that women were given intoxicants and medicines related to abortion.
- The luxurious bungalow of the accused in Nashik and the farmhouse containing Ishaneshwar temple have been sealed.
- During the raid, police found more than 100 suspicious videos.
- During custody, HIV test of the accused was done, the report of which came negative.
Videos reached porn websites
Investigating officials say that the spread of these videos on the internet has become the biggest concern. The video going viral is causing mental trauma to the families of the victims. Apart from this, potential witnesses are also afraid of coming forward, which may affect the investigation process. According to investigators, some videos have also reached porn websites, which are being tried to be removed.
Government and administration started taking strict action
Following the instructions of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, the administration has adopted a strict stance in this matter. Action has been initiated against media platforms which did not follow the guidelines while broadcasting such content. Notices have also been sent to many news channels. According to the investigation team, till now videos related to this case have been removed from about 170 websites. This entire matter is being investigated by SIT, which is headed by IPS officer Tejaswani Satpute.
