FASTag Annual Pass Price Increased: If you often travel on highways or expressways, then this news is important for you. It has been decided to increase the price of the annual pass of FASTag service, which makes toll payment easier across the country.
National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has announced that the price of FASTag Annual Pass is being increased. The new rates will be applicable from April 1, 2026. Till now this annual pass was available for Rs 3,000, but under the new system it has been increased by Rs 75. This means that now those who travel regularly on the highway will have to spend Rs 3,075 for the FASTag annual pass.

What is FASTag Annual Pass?
FASTag Annual Pass is a type of prepaid toll plan, which was started especially for those who frequently travel on the highway. After taking this pass, there is no need to pay or recharge the toll separately every time. Once paid, the pass remains valid for one year or till 200 tolls are crossed. Whichever condition is fulfilled first, the pass remains valid for that period.
Why was the price increased?
According to the government, this increase has been made as per the rules. Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) said that this decision has been taken as per the provisions of National Highway Fee Rules 2008. According to officials, the usage of FASTag Annual Pass is increasing rapidly and till now more than 56 lakh people have availed this facility. Keeping in view the increasing demand and expenses related to operation of the system, there has been a slight revision in the price.
For which vehicles will this pass be applicable?
FASTag Annual Pass is applicable only for private vehicles. It mainly includes:
- car
- suv
- Vehicles such as vans are included.
This pass will be valid at about 1,150 toll plazas across the country, which are located on national highways and expressways.

The process of purchasing FASTag Annual Pass is quite easy. For this you can use the official digital platform of the government. First of all you have to download Rajmarg Yatra app or visit the website of NHAI and MoRTH.
After this you will have to enter your vehicle information and FASTag ID. It is important to keep in mind that your FASTag is active and properly linked to the vehicle. You can make payment through UPI, Net Banking, Debit Card or Credit Card. Once the payment is completed, this pass will be linked to your FASTag ID and you will get its confirmation through SMS.
