Lahore: Pakistan Super League (PSL) always remains in the headlines due to some controversy or the other. Now once again there has been a serious allegation of ball tampering in the league. In this matter, Lahore Qalandars team and its senior player Fakhar Zaman are in trouble.

The incident occurred during the match against Karachi Kings on Sunday. Karachi needed 14 runs in the last over to win. Then Lahore captain Shaheen Afridi, Fakhar Zaman and Harris Rauf were talking among themselves. Meanwhile, Zaman was seen pressing the ball hard with his hand. Immediately umpire Faisal Afridi took the ball and examined it along with second umpire Sharafuddaula. During investigation they found tampering with the ball. After this, he gave 5 runs as penalty to the Karachi team and also changed the ball. Now Karachi had to score only 9 runs instead of 14, which it scored in just 3 balls and won the match.

Zaman was questioned after the match, but he denied the allegations against him. Another hearing will take place in the next 48 hours. If the allegation of ball tampering is proved, then strict action can be taken against Zaman and the team.

Accused of breaking security rules: Shaheen and Raza also in trouble

Lahore team players Shaheen Afridi and Sikandar Raza have been accused of breaking security rules in PSL. On Saturday, Sikandar Raza had sought permission from PCB to meet his four relatives. But PCB rejected his application twice. Despite this, Raza called all four of them to his hotel room. An investigation has been initiated against Shaheen and Raza for inviting outsiders to the players’ hotel despite warnings from police officials, PCB and security staff.

CM’s post proved costly: Naseem Shah fined Rs 2 crore!

Lahore: Posting on social media against the Chief Minister of Pakistan’s Punjab province Maryam Nawaz proved costly for cricketer Naseem Shah. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has imposed a huge fine of Rs 2 crore on him. In fact, Shah had raised questions on the special hospitality given to Maryam Nawaz in the inaugural match of PSL. She had tweeted why she was treated like ‘Queen of Lords’, although she later deleted this tweet. By doing this Shah had broken the rules of PCB’s central contract. In the same case, a show cause notice was issued to Shah on March 27.
