Naseem Shah: Was Pakistani bowler Naseem kidnapped? Big claim after controversial post, know the truth

Pakistan cricket team is currently away from international cricket because the new season of Pakistan Super League is being played in the country. But despite this, some ruckus is going on there. In the opening match of PSL itself, there was trouble due to the color of the ball changing, in one match Shaheen Shah Afridi’s team Lahore Qalandars was accused of ball tampering and due to this the team was penalized. But a bigger uproar is about Pakistan’s young fast bowler Naseem Shah, who got embroiled in controversy due to a social media post and now it is being claimed that he has been kidnapped.

A post was made on Monday March 30 from an account named Islamabad Post on the social media platform ‘X’. The shocking claim in this post was that Naseem has been kidnapped. The post read, “Pakistan’s cricket star Naseem Shah has been kidnapped by unknown people an hour ago.” After this, no further information was given from this account regarding this big claim.

This claim regarding Naseem Shah came at a time when he was embroiled in controversies due to one of his posts. Actually, Naseem had made a post on social media about Maryam Nawaz, daughter of former Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister of Punjab province. He wrote, “Why is she being presented as if she is the Queen in the Lords?” He had written this post in response to the post from PCB’s own account, in which Maryam was being given VVIP treatment in the stadium during the PSL match, while there is a ban on spectators in the match.

After this post, PCB had issued a show cause notice reprimanding Naseem Shah. However, after the uproar, Naseem had claimed that someone had hacked his account and he had not posted it.

Only after this controversy, shocking claims related to Naseem’s kidnapping started being made. But is this true? Has someone really kidnapped Naseem? The answer is no – all these claims are wrong. Checking on social media, no other such claims were seen. There is no such news in Pakistani media either. Even in support of the claim made in the social media post, no additional information has been given and it is just a fake claim.
