In such a situation, on the basis of Udayatithi, this year the fast of Vikat Sankashti Chaturthi will be observed on 5th April. It will be fasted and worshiped on this day.
Vaishakh Sankashti Chaturthi 2026 Puja Muhurta
The auspicious time of worship of Vikat Sankashti Chaturthi will start at 7.41 am on 5th April. This auspicious time of puja will last till 12.24 pm. Brahma Muhurta will be from 04:35 to 05:21. The auspicious time of the day i.e. Abhijeet Muhurta will be from 11:59 am to 12:49 pm. Profit-Progress Muhurta will be from 09:15 am to 10:50 am. Whereas Amrit-Sarvattam Muhurat will be from 10.50 am to 12.24 pm.
Vikat Sankashti Chaturthi Puja Method
On the day of Vikat Sankashti Chaturthi, wake up early in the morning and take bath. Then wear clean clothes. After this, take a pledge to fast in front of Lord Ganesha with water in your hand. Then spread a red cloth on a stool in the temple or some quiet corner of the house and place the idol or picture of Lord Ganesha on it. After doing this, bathe Lord Ganesha with Ganga water or pure water.
Apply vermillion or red sandalwood tilak to the Lord and offer unbroken rice (akshat). Offer 21 Durvas to him during the worship. Chant the mantra Om Gan Ganpataye Namah. Offer modak or gram flour laddus to Lord Ganesha. Read the story of Sankashti Chaturthi fast by lighting incense sticks. Finally, conclude the puja by performing Aarti of Lord Ganesha. At night, take water in a silver vessel or pot and mix some milk, Akshat and flowers in it. Offer Arghya to them while looking at the moon. After this break the fast.
