Opening up about her look and character in Cocktail 2 which has created buzz online, Kriti shared, “I think I’m looking very different from what I’ve ever looked and it’s probably the hottest character that I’ve done so far. And I think Homi is someone who has great great aesthetic visual sense and he’s just inherently cool and I think he’s brought a cool side to me which I didn’t know I had.”
Kriti also addressed the curiosity around the film’s connection to the 2012 cult favorite. She clarified that Cocktail 2 is neither a sequel nor a remake of Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty’s Cocktail (2012). “It’s a franchise,” the actress stated, adding, “It carries a vibe similar to Cocktail, which is also present in Cocktail 2.”
Elaborating further on the narrative, Kriti said, “The story involves two girls and one boy. The tone and atmosphere are in a comparable realm, yet the narrative and characters are entirely distinct. There’s no direct connection to Cocktail aside from the fact that it encompasses a mix a cocktail of emotions, camaraderie, drama, music, and stunning locations.”
