CM Yogi and Anandiben Patel 1st Flight from Jewar: With the inauguration of the first phase of Jewar Airport, the development of Uttar Pradesh has ‘take-off’. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Governor Anandiben Patel formally inaugurated the operation of this airport by flying the first flight from Jewar to Lucknow.
UP Government First Flight Jewar Airport: Saturday, March 28, was recorded in golden letters in the history of Uttar Pradesh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Noida International Airport (Phase-1) in Jewar, which is going to become Asia’s largest airport in the coming time. After this inauguration, the state aircraft of the UP government took its first flight from the runway of Jewar. In this historic journey, Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath covered the distance from Noida to Lucknow. This flight is not just the beginning of connectivity, but it is a sign that now the distance from Western UP to the capital Lucknow will become even easier, faster and direct. Jewar Airport a gamechanger for UP’s economy- CM Yogi
Chief Minister Yogi described this airport as a big game changer for the economy of UP. His vision is clear that Noida International Airport will not only strengthen the connectivity of the state but will also give it a big place on the global investment map. According to CM Yogi, this project will open doors to new opportunities for investment, industry and employment.

Flood of Investment: There will be huge investment in high-tech projects like data centres, medical device parks, and semiconductor units in the Yamuna Expressway area around Jewar Airport.
Employment Hub: This airport project alone is expected to provide direct and indirect employment to about 1 lakh people.
Powerhouse of Business: This project will generate economic activity worth about Rs 60,000 crore and the government will get tax revenue of Rs 2000 crore.
Export Hub: With the airport becoming a cargo hub, the products of UP will reach foreign markets directly, which will eliminate the hindrance of the ‘landlocked’ state.
Double engine speed, foundation stone of which was also inaugurated – Chief Minister
The foundation stone of Jewar Airport was laid on 25 November 2021. Today, in just a few years, the inauguration ceremony of the first phase took place. On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, ‘With the speed that the country has gained in the last 12 years and UP in the last 9 years under the guidance of PM Modi, it is creating its new identity. This is the speed of the double engine to lay its foundation stone, lay its foundation stone and even inaugurate it.

- In Phase-1, terminals and runways have been built on about 3300 acres of land.
- Every year about 1.2 crore passengers will be able to fly from here.
