Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Governor Anandiben Patel formally inaugurated the operation of this airport by flying the first flight from Jewar to Lucknow.

UP Government First Flight Jewar Airport: Saturday, March 28, was recorded in golden letters in the history of Uttar Pradesh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Noida International Airport (Phase-1) in Jewar, which is going to become Asia’s largest airport in the coming time. After this inauguration, the state aircraft of the UP government took its first flight from the runway of Jewar. Flood of Investment: There will be huge investment in high-tech projects like data centres, medical device parks, and semiconductor units in the Yamuna Expressway area around Jewar Airport.

Employment Hub: This airport project alone is expected to provide direct and indirect employment to about 1 lakh people.

Powerhouse of Business: This project will generate economic activity worth about Rs 60,000 crore and the government will get tax revenue of Rs 2000 crore.

Export Hub: With the airport becoming a cargo hub, the products of UP will reach foreign markets directly, which will eliminate the hindrance of the ‘landlocked’ state.

Double engine speed, foundation stone of which was also inaugurated – Chief Minister

The foundation stone of Jewar Airport was laid on 25 November 2021. Today, in just a few years, the inauguration ceremony of the first phase took place. On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, ‘With the speed that the country has gained in the last 12 years and UP in the last 9 years under the guidance of PM Modi, it is creating its new identity.
