New Delhi: India on Saturday rejected a US media report that billionaire Elon Musk was part of a telephonic conversation between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the United States President Donald Trump.
“The telephone conversation on 24 March was between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Donald Trump only,” a spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs said. PM Modi and Trump reportedly exchanged views on the situation in West Asia during their telephonic conversation on March 24.
Earlier, New York Times in a report, citing unnamed US officials, mentioned that Musk was part of the call. “Elon Musk participated in a phone call on Tuesday with President Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India, an unusual appearance by a private citizen on a call between two heads of state during a wartime crisis,” the New York Times report read.
