Work-Life Balance: People surprised to see Sweden’s work culture, video of empty office at 4:30 goes viral. Indian Techie In Sweden Shows Empty Office At 4 30 Pm Highlighting Work Life Balance

An Indian IT professional in Sweden showed the work culture there in a video. The office vacates at 4:30 pm, indicating a better work-life balance. There the quality of work is given importance and not the working hours.

Long office shifts and lack of holidays in India are often debated on social media. But the work culture of Europe is completely different from this. An Indian IT professional named Swati, working in Sweden, has shared a video, which shows how different the way of working there is. Swati has posted the video of her empty office on social media at 4:30 pm.

In the video, Swati is seen passing through every cabin of the office, but not a single person is present there. In the video, Swati says, ‘It is only 4:30 in the evening and see, my office is completely empty. In Europe, work-life balance is given great importance’.

Swati says that the companies here do not pay attention to how many hours you sit in the office, but to how you do your work. There is no culture of overtime here. There is no need to stay in the office after 5 pm nor work on weekends. People finish their work and return home at the right time. This gives them a chance to spend time with their family, friends and do the work of their choice.

After Swati’s video went viral, many people commented on it. One user wrote, ‘In India, exactly the opposite happens.’ While some people commented, ‘I wish there was such a working environment everywhere.’ Many people also said that Sweden’s ‘flexible working hours’ are very beneficial for the mental health of employees.
