US-Israel-Iran war LIVE updates: World will be at risk if Iran gets nukes, says Rubio

New Delhi: US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Friday that the ongoing Gulf conflict is likely to end within weeks rather than months, even as the United States continues military deployments and diplomatic outreach.

Speaking after meeting G7 leaders in France, Rubio said the campaign was progressing on schedule, or even ahead of it. He stressed that Washington expects to achieve its objectives without deploying ground troops.

Rubio added that the US aims to conclude operations in the coming weeks, noting that adversaries would emerge significantly weakened once the campaign ends.
