Who is Ashok Kharat: In Maharashtra, the case related to astrologer and YouTuber Ashok Shyamdas Kharat has now taken a big shape. Kharat has been facing serious allegations like rape and fraud. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the state administration took immediate action and formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT). This issue is now becoming a topic of discussion even in political circles. During investigation, the police found a pen drive from Kharat’s office, which contained 58 obscene video clips.
Rape and Fraud Allegations: Did dirty work with a woman for 3 years
According to the police, Kharat used to claim himself to have tantric powers and win the trust of people in the name of alleged religious rituals. The allegation is that he mixed intoxicants in the woman’s food and drink and did wrong things to her by making her unconscious. Between November 2022 and December 2025, he allegedly raped the woman multiple times. After enduring exploitation for about three years, the victim contacted the police.

Kharat worked from his office located at Canada Corner. This office is registered in the name of ‘Oaks Property Dealer and Developer’. During the raid, the police seized a pen drive, in which 58 obscene video clips were found. This has become an important part of the investigation. It is being told that the accused Kharat used to make girl students, brides and pregnant women his victims.

Ashok Kharat is originally from Sinnar in Nashik district. Before becoming an astrologer, he worked in the merchant navy. Later he became famous as a numerologist and many personalities from politics, business and entertainment world came in contact with him. He first came into limelight when Eknath Shinde met him during a temple visit in November 2022.

It is being told that a big revelation has been made regarding the properties of Ashok Kharat associated with Ishaneshwar Temple Trust located in Nashik, Maharashtra. The investigation has revealed details of the trust premises, the grand farmhouse at Mirgaon and many valuable lands. According to the information, the value of about 30 acres of land in Pathardi area is said to be around Rs 150 crore, while in Goulane Shivar, there is land worth about Rs 30 crore in the name of the family. Apart from this, 45 acres of land in Mirgaon and Kahandalwadi complex, land near Ojhar airport, luxurious bungalow in Karmayoginagar and office in Canada Corner in Nashik are also included in this property.
Ashok Kharat Case: Allegations and action
Nashik police arrested Kharat based on the complaint of a 35-year-old woman. The woman alleges that Kharat used to call women to him on the pretext of solving personal problems and then sexually exploit them. Considering the seriousness of the case, Crime Branch-CID has also joined the investigation and now SIT is leading it. This entire matter is being investigated by the SIT formed under the leadership of IPS officer Tejaswini Satpute.
