IPL 2026, RCB vs SRH: Royal Challengers Bangalore will face Sunrisers Hyderabad in the opening match of IPL 2026. This match will be played at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Both the teams are preparing vigorously for this match. Meanwhile, a star player of Royal Challengers Bangalore has narrowly escaped injury. In fact, due to the wisdom of the team coach, a major accident was averted, otherwise the team would have had to face huge losses.

RCB player narrowly missed in training session

Actually, Royal Challengers Bangalore fast bowler Josh Hazlewood is engaged in the process of recovering from his injury. Due to which he will not be seen playing in the first match of IPL 2026. Recently, photos of his training have surfaced, in which he was seen working hard with the team’s strength and conditioning coach. Hazlewood is working on fitness in the RCB camp.

But, a scary moment also came during the training, when Devdutt Padikkal hit a ball hard and it went straight to the place where Hazlewood was stretching. However, the physio showed immediate wisdom and saved him. Due to which Hazlewood narrowly escaped injury, but this definitely increased some concern among RCB fans and team management.

Hazlewood’s fitness update

Hazlewood has been suffering from hamstring and Achilles tendon injuries for a long time. Due to which he will not be able to play even in the opening match of IPL 2026. Team coach Andy Flower has already made it clear that the bowlers are not fully ready yet and their fitness is being constantly monitored. RCB management is hoping that Hazlewood will soon be fully fit and join the team.
