Ayodhya. The festival of Ram Navami was celebrated with devotion, enthusiasm and grandeur in the holy city of Ayodhya on Friday. On the auspicious moment of the birth of Lord Ram, the entire atmosphere echoed with the slogan “Bhaye Pragat Kripala, Deen Dayala”. A special moment was seen on the birth anniversary of Ramlala in the Ram Janmabhoomi temple, when ‘Surya Tilak’ was applied to the Lord with the rays of the sun. Exactly at 12 noon, the golden rays of the sun reached the sanctum sanctorum through scientific technology and remained on the head of Ramlala for about four minutes. Bhandaras were organized at various places amidst huge crowd of devotees. About 5 quintals of Panjiri and Laddus brought from Mathura were distributed as Prasad. A flood of devotees was seen in Ram Path, Saryu Ghat and surrounding areas.
56 offerings and celebrations in thousands of temples
56 types of offerings were offered to Ramlala. Apart from this, special puja, kirtan and satsang were organized in about 8,000 temples of Ayodhya including Dashrath Mahal, Kanak Bhawan and Hanuman Garhi.
Tight security arrangements and administrative preparations
Extensive security arrangements were made on the instructions of Uttar Pradesh government and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The city was divided into several zones and sectors. Arrangements like drone surveillance, anti-drone system, additional police forces, traffic plans and holding areas were implemented. Due to this strict arrangement, the entire program was completed in a peaceful and orderly manner.

Arrival of 35 lakh devotees: Ocean of faith
On the occasion of Ram Navami, a huge crowd of devotees gathered in Ayodhya. According to the district administration, about 35 lakh devotees reached Ayodhya on 26 and 27 March. Around 3.5 lakh people visited the Ram temple till noon, while this number is expected to reach 4 lakh by late night. The administration made elaborate arrangements for the convenience and safety of the devotees, due to which the darshan process continued smoothly.
