The news was spreading rapidly on social media that ‘energy lockdown’ was going to be imposed in the country. In view of this, the government had to give this clarification. Actually, this whole matter started after a statement given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Parliament. PM Modi had mentioned the ongoing war in West Asia in Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha. He had said, ‘If this war prolongs, it will have serious consequences. Just as the Center and the states worked together during the last lockdown, similarly this crisis will also have to be faced together.
