Materials required for Havan

Black sesame, cow ghee, cloves, cardamom, guggal, peepal bark, red kalava (worship thread), 1 dry coconut, dry mango sticks, barley, sugar, ashwagandha, brahmi, licorice root, sandalwood, wood apple, neem, camphor, rice, sycamore bark.

– Worship Mother Goddess before Navratri Havan. Perform Havan at a clean place. Purify this place by sprinkling Ganga water or cow urine.
– Put all the havan ingredients in a big vessel and mix well. Prepare the Havan Kund as per the prescribed criteria and make Swastika on it.
– Keep dry mango sticks in the Havan Kund and burn them with camphor. Now when the fire ignites properly, put the havan material in it.
– While adding the havan material, keep chanting the following mantras-
Om Agneya Namah Swaha
Om Ganeshaya Namah Swaha
Om Gauriya Namah Swaha
Om Navagrahay Namah Swaha
Om Durgay Namah Swaha
Om Mahakalikaya Namah Swaha
Om Hanumate Namah Swaha
Om Bhairavya Namah Swaha
Om Kul Devatay Namah Swaha
Om Sthan Devatay Namah Swaha
Om Brahmaya Namah Swaha
Om Vishnuve Namah Swaha
Om Shivay Namah Swaha
Om Jayanti Mangalakali, Bhadrakali Kapalini Durga Kshama Shivadhatri Swaha
