ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) – The Orlando Magic secured a 111-107 victory against the Sacramento Kings on Thursday, ending their six-game losing streak.

Paolo Banchero led the team with an impressive performance, scoring 30 points, along with nine rebounds and seven assists.

This win improved the Magic’s record to 39-34, bringing them back into contention for a play-in spot in the Eastern Conference. Banchero’s scoring achievement marks his third consecutive game with 30 or more points, a milestone he has reached 25 times in his four-year career.

Key Performers

In addition to Banchero’s standout performance, Desmond Bane contributed 23 points, while Jalen Suggs, returning from an illness that sidelined him for two games, added eight points and four assists in 34 minutes of play. The Magic’s victory also resulted in a three-way tie for the eighth seed with Charlotte and Miami.

Kings’ Efforts

DeMar DeRozan led the Kings with 33 points and 11 assists, helping his team narrow a nine-point deficit to just one point late in the game. Daeqwon Plowden’s 3-pointer with 50.4 seconds remaining brought Sacramento to 116-115, but Suggs responded with a critical 3-pointer for the Magic, solidifying their lead.

Plowden also had a strong showing, scoring 23 points with a 6-for-10 performance from beyond the arc. Precious Achiuwa added 14 points and nine rebounds for Sacramento, which currently holds the last place in the Western Conference with a record of 19-55.
