Pakistan Super League 2026: In the first match of Pakistan Super League, Lahore Qalandars defeated Hyderabad Kingsmen in a one-sided fashion. Batting first, Lahore Qalandars made a huge score of 199 runs in 20 overs, in reply Hyderabad Kingsmen were cheaply bundled out for 130 runs. The hero of Lahore Qalandars’ victory was Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza, who made a huge difference in the match with ball and bat. This player scored 24 runs in the first 10 balls and after that Sikandar took 2 wickets giving just 27 runs in 4 overs.
Fakhar Zaman-Naeem’s explosive batting
Openers Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Naeem gave a fast start to the Lahore Qalandars team. Both the batsmen added 84 runs in 50 balls for the first wicket. Naeem played an inning of 30 runs in 19 balls. However, after this Abdullah Shafiq was run out on 4. Whereas Parvez Hussain Emon could also score only 14 runs. Hyderabad Kingsman’s batting failed
Lahore set a target of 200 runs but Hyderabad Kingsmen batsmen could not give a good start to the team. Sam Ayyub scored 17 runs in 13 balls and wicketkeeper Usman Khan was removed by Shaheen Shah Afridi for 9 runs. After this, Sikandar Raza shattered the morale of Hyderabad by taking the wickets of Kusal Perera and Marnus Labuschagne. Captain Labuschagne could score only 26 runs in 22 balls. Lahore’s strong bowling attack comprising Shaheen Afridi, Ubed Shah, Mustafizur Rahman, Sikandar Raza and Haris Rauf left Hyderabad starving for runs. Haris Rauf also took 2 wickets for 22 runs.
