SRK-Deepika get relief

Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone were the brand ambassadors of Hyundai. Hence, their names were mentioned in the FIR along with six company officials. After the FIR, the actors approached the Rajasthan High Court seeking the quashing of the complaint. Their legal teams argued that their roles as brand ambassadors were limited to product promotions and they had no involvement in technical operations.

Senior advocate Kapil Sibal represented Shah Rukh Khan, while advocate Madhav Mitra represented Deepika Padukone. They claimed that SRK and Deepika have no direct connection with the quality of the Hyundai cars.

During the hearing in Jodhpur, Justice Sudesh Bansal observed that the FIR lacked a factual basis. Hence, the court ordered a stay on the FIR and provided interim relief to Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and other company officials. The next hearing has been scheduled for September 25.
