The company clearly said that the recent media reports in which it has been said that the company has purchased crude oil from Iran are completely wrong. Reliance Industries Limited This statement comes after the report in which Reuters had claimed that the company has purchased 5 million barrels of crude oil from National Iranian Oil Company. According to the report, this oil was purchased at a higher price than Brent futures. Besides, it was also said that America had given relaxation in restrictions for some time, due to which the deal of Iranian oil present in the sea was allowed.
According to the report, this discount was applicable on shipments that were loaded by March 20 and were to be delivered by April 19. However, Reliance has not confirmed any such deal and has strictly denied all these claims.
