New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday announced the complete schedule for the league phase of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. After initially releasing fixtures for only the first 20 matches, the governing body has now confirmed the venues for the entire league stage.
The wait was for the schedule of Assembly elections across four states because of which the Indian cricket board has delayed the announcement. After the election dates were finalised, the schedule for the second phase has also been finalised.
The second phase of the tournament will begin on April 13 with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) facing Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Hyderabad. The league phase will conclude on May 24 with a game between Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals in Kolkata.
Defending champions RCB and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will meet only once in the league stage on April 5. Matches on single-header days will start at 7:30 pm IST, while afternoon fixtures on double-header days will begin at 3:30 pm IST. There will be a total of 12 days which will feature double headers.
