Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inspected the ghats being built on the Kshipra river in Ujjain. Keeping in mind Simhastha 2028, instructions were given to build toilets, changing rooms, convenience centers and better access roads for the devotees.
Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inspected the new ghats being built on the Kshipra river in Ujjain on Thursday. He instructed the officials that all the necessary facilities should be provided to the devotees on time and in a better way.
Ghats are being prepared keeping in mind Simhastha 2028
The Chief Minister also inspected the ghats under construction between Shri Angareshwar and Shri Siddhavat. These ghats are being prepared especially keeping in mind the upcoming Simhastha Mahaparva-2028, so that the devotees can get facilities for bathing and other religious activities.
Instructions for better facilities for devotees
The Chief Minister directed to make arrangements for changing clothes for the devotees in about 200 meter area of the ghats and to build toilets at appropriate places. He also asked to develop Suvidha Ghar (facility center) at a distance of every 200 meters on the major ghats, so that people do not face any kind of problem.
Construction of pathways and stairs for easy access
He directed to make stairs or other access roads every 500 meters to ease the movement of devotees around the ghats. This will make it easier for people to reach the main ghats and crowd management will also be better.
Bridge construction between Siddhavat-Angareshwar
The Chief Minister also inspected the bridge being built between Shri Siddhavat and Shri Angareshwar Temple. Officials said that with the construction of this bridge, traffic between the two religious places will become easier and devotees will also get an alternative route.
Wider pier and better seating arrangement
An area about 5 meters wide is being prepared for bathing at the ghats, which will provide seating facilities to the devotees while coming and going. The Chief Minister also gave instructions to develop other necessary facilities including seating here.
