Russia’s oil sales surge amid war
British newspapers The Telegraph According to the report, in the current situation, Russia can sell oil worth about $24 billion in the month of March. If we look at the daily earnings, it comes to around $760 million per day, which is around Rs 71 billion in Indian currency.
This is believed to be Russia’s biggest earning from oil sales in the last three years. In fact, after the Ukraine war in the year 2022, America and Western countries had imposed several sanctions on Russian oil. This had an impact on Russia’s energy exports. But the current situation has again given a big market to Russia.

According to the Kiev School of Economics, Russian oil is currently being sold for around $100 per barrel. There has been a sudden jump in Russia’s earnings due to increase in prices.
- third reason: Big energy consuming countries like India and China have also increased oil purchases from Russia. According to the data, India has decided to buy about 72 percent more oil from Russia in March 2026 as compared to February 2026. This has further increased Russia’s overall sales.
Accusations of helping Iran in the war
Many types of reports are also coming out regarding the role of Russia in this conflict. According to a report in the Financial Times, Russia is reportedly providing drones and weapons to Iran along with food items.
Some Western intelligence officials claim that Russia is gathering information about Israeli and American targets through satellite and giving it to Iran. It is being said that Iran plans missile attacks on the basis of this information. However, Russia has rejected these allegations. Russia says that it has sent some essential medicines to Iran only as humanitarian aid during the war.
