ASUS sees 167% surge on Instamart as laptop buying goes instant

New Delhi: India’s quick commerce market is expanding beyond groceries, and consumer electronics are now part of that shift. Recent data from ASUS suggests that laptops and accessories are seeing rising traction on platforms like Instamart, reflecting a broader change in buying behaviour across urban markets.

The development signals a shift in how consumers access high-value devices. Faster delivery timelines and wider availability across cities appear to be influencing purchase decisions, especially in metros and emerging urban clusters.

ASUS reports strong growth on Instamart

ASUS recorded a 167 percent month on month growth between January and February 2026 on Instamart. The company also reported a strong performance in the first quarter of 2026, indicating sustained demand on the platform.

Growth has been led by southern and eastern cities such as Bangalore, Kolkata, and Hyderabad. Metro markets like Delhi and Mumbai continue to dominate, contributing over 95 percent of overall share.

Arnold Su, Vice President, Consumer and Gaming PC, System Business Group, ASUS India, said, “At ASUS, we continue to align closely with how consumer preferences are evolving, particularly in urban markets where convenience is becoming increasingly important. Our strong growth on Instamart reflects this shift, along with the trust consumers place in ASUS for performance-driven devices.”

Quick commerce expands beyond essentials

The data highlights a clear expansion in the scope of quick commerce platforms. These services, once limited to groceries and daily essentials, are now facilitating purchases of laptops, gaming systems, and accessories.

Instamart has been actively widening its product range to include consumer technology categories. Manender Kaushik, AVP, Category Instamart, said, “Urban consumers increasingly value convenience and enabling access to ASUS devices and accessories through Instamart reflects our continued efforts to expand selection on the platform beyond everyday essentials.”

Tier 2 expansion

ASUS is also scaling its presence beyond metro cities. The company has expanded into markets such as Jaipur, Kochi, Goa, and Noida, with further reach into Tier 2 regions.

The brand continues to operate through a multi-channel retail approach, combining exclusive stores, large format retail outlets, e commerce platforms, and quick commerce channels. This strategy aims to improve accessibility across pin codes, including smaller towns and talukas.
