5446 cow shelters in Uttar Pradesh have now been linked with CCTV surveillance. 7592 cameras have been installed across the state, through which the safety, eating habits, health and cleanliness of the cattle will be monitored 24×7. The government aims to ensure transparency and better care.

The government has taken a big step with the help of technology regarding cow protection in Uttar Pradesh. Now a network of CCTV cameras has been prepared to keep an eye on thousands of cow shelters in the state. The government says that this will ensure both the safety and care of the cows in a better way.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, 5446 cow shelters in the state have been linked to CCTV surveillance. So far, 7592 cameras have been installed at these places, with the help of which the activities at the shelter sites are being continuously monitored. The government claims that this step will play an important role in increasing transparency and preventing negligence.

Cow progeny will be monitored 24 hours

After the installation of CCTV system, 24×7 monitoring of these cow shelters has now become possible. The arrangements related to the food, health, cleanliness and safety of the animals are being continuously monitored through cameras. If negligence or deficiency is seen at any level, the administration can take immediate action. It is expected that this will improve the care of cattle.

Focus on timely fodder, water and treatment

A large number of destitute cattle have been kept in the cow shelters of the state. In such a situation, their care is included in the priorities of the government. Through CCTV monitoring, it is being ensured that the animals get fodder on time, clean water is available and if needed, medical care is also provided immediately.

Monitoring is being done from control room in 56 districts

According to Mukesh Meshram, Additional Chief Secretary of Animal Husbandry Department, this digital monitoring system is strengthening administrative transparency. Currently, command and control rooms are active in 56 districts, from where these cameras are being monitored. Control rooms will soon be established in the remaining 19 districts through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund.

The government aims to prepare an integrated and strong monitoring system in the entire state in the coming time, so that the arrangements at cow shelters can be improved.

Instructions to officers for regular inspection

The state government has directed all the districts to ensure regular monitoring of CCTV cameras. If any camera malfunctions, it should be repaired immediately. Along with this, instructions have also been given to the officials to inspect the cow shelter sites from time to time and further improve the arrangements.
