According to the Panchang, this year the Navami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month is starting tomorrow i.e. on March 26 at 11.48 am. This date will end the day after tomorrow on March 27 at 10:06 am, but because Lord Ram was born in the midday period and Cancer ascendant, which is considered the most auspicious. For this reason, it will be auspicious to celebrate the festival of Ram Navami on 26th March.

However, if we look at the Udayatithi, then the festival of Ram Navami should be celebrated on 27th March. In such a situation, it will be auspicious for the householders to celebrate Ram Navami on 26th March and for the people of Vaishnav sect, it will be auspicious to celebrate Ram Navami on 27th March. On this day, the midday time will be from 11:13 am to 1:41 pm.

Ram Navami 2026 Puja Muhurat

The auspicious time of puja will start from 11.13 am on the day of Ram Navami. This will last till 1:41 pm. The second best time will be 12:27 pm, which will be mid-day. This is considered to be the actual birth time of Shri Ram.

Ram Navami Puja Vidhi

  • On the day of Ram Navami, wake up early in the morning and take bath. Then wear clean clothes.
  • Place a clean stool in a sacred place.
  • Spread a clean yellow colored cloth on it and place the idol or picture of Ram Darbar.
  • Worship God with proper rituals.
  • Offer yellow sandalwood, yellow flowers, fruits, sweets to Lord Shri Ram.
  • Offer saffron rice with Tulsi Dal.
  • Light a ghee lamp and chant the mantras of Shri Ram.
  • Make a mixture of milk, curd, ghee, honey and sugar and offer Panchamrit to God.
  • Read Ramcharitmanas.
  • Perform Aarti of Shri Ram and offer plum to everyone.
