In Bahraich, CM Yogi gave Rs 1.20 lakh per family to 136 families under the Chief Minister Housing Scheme. A total of Rs 1.63 crore was transferred to the accounts through DBT. Besides, by providing benefits of other schemes, steps were taken towards rehabilitation and better life.

Bahraich/Lucknow. Under the Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana, an amount of Rs 1.20 lakh per family was sent directly into the accounts of 136 families living in difficult conditions in Bharthapur. On the occasion of Chaitra Navratri, the Chief Minister transferred a total amount of more than Rs 1.63 crore to the beneficiaries.

Direct Benefit Transfer UP: Assistance amount reached directly into accounts

The Chief Minister also presented approval letters of various schemes to the beneficiaries during the program. Along with this, the beneficiaries were also given benefits of money, assets, compensation, toilet and housing related facilities. This entire process was done in a transparent manner through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Beneficiaries List UP: Assistance worth lakhs of rupees to women

Many women were provided financial assistance worth lakhs of rupees in the program. Sangeeta Rs 16.98 lakh, Aarti Rs 19.60 lakh, Nirmala Devi Rs 30.99 lakh, Rani Devi Rs 18.91 lakh, Rekha Devi Rs 21.73 lakh, Kishori Devi Rs 37.44 lakh, Anna Devi Rs 26.49 lakh, Sunita Devi Rs 18.53 lakh, Prema Devi Rs 30.56 lakh and Manju Devi Rs 26.84 lakh. More assistance and other facilities were given.

Bahraich Village Problems: Life full of struggle between river and forest

Munna Lal Maurya, a resident of Bharthapur village, expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister and shared the problems of the village. He told that the village is surrounded by river on three sides and forest on one side. There is lack of basic facilities here. To reach the tehsil, people have to cross the river by boat and travel about 60 kilometers.

Munna Lal Maurya said that there were no toilets, schools, health services and employment opportunities in the village. Due to river erosion, people’s land was also lost, making them landless. Because of this the life of the village people had become very difficult.

Bahraich Boat Accident: Government took cognizance after the accident

He told that on October 29, 9 people of the village had died in a boat accident. After this incident the Chief Minister immediately took cognizance. He visited the village, met the affected families and consoled them.

Rehabilitation Plan UP: Plan to settle in Semrahna

The Chief Minister directed the administration to settle the people of Bharthapur by earmarking a place in Semrahna. Also, education, employment and other facilities should be made available, so that people can live a safe and better life. He also said that everyone should remain comfortable and children’s education should continue.
