According to the Panchang, Ashtami Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Ashwin month will begin on 14 September 2025 at 05 am 04 am and it will conclude at 03:06 pm on September 15. According to Udaya Tithi, it will be best to do Kalashtami fast and worship on September 14.
Three rare yoga are being made on Kalashtami
Siddhi Yoga: This is considered to be success and accomplishment in yoga works. All religious works and rituals performed in this yoga are successful.
Ravi Yoga: This yoga related to Sun God is very effective. The worship and remedy done in this yoga gives the person to get rid of diseases and conquer enemies.
Shivwas Yoga: This yoga is formed when Lord Shiva resides with Goddess Parvati. The worship and consecration performed in this yoga reaches directly to Shiva, which gives his grace and all the sorrows of the devotees are removed.
This day of Kalashtami becomes very important due to these three yogas being together. The worship performed on this day not only pleases Lord Bhairav, but also receives the grace of Shiva and Surya Dev.
Kalashtami’s worship method and mantra ( kalashtami vrat puja vidhi)
Along with keeping a fast on Kalashtami, special worship of Lord Kaal Bhairav should be done. Get up early and take a bath and wear clean clothes. Install the idol or picture of Lord Kaal Bhairav. Get them anointed with Ganga water and light a lamp of mustard oil. Chant the mantra 108 times. Offer them especially black sesame, urad dal, jaggery and bread. After worship, recite Kaal Bhairav Chalisa and Bhairav Ashtak. In the evening, provide food to the dogs, because they are considered to be the vehicle of Lord Bhairav.
