Kia EV2: Another new entry has been made in the world of electric cars. South Korean auto company Kia has officially introduced its new electric SUV Kia EV2. The special thing is that it is considered to be the cheapest car in the company’s global electric lineup.
The company says that the aim of this car is to provide affordable electric mobility to as many people as possible. Due to compact size, modern design and long range, this car is considered quite attractive for daily use in cities.

how much is the price
The starting price of Kia EV2 in the global market has been kept at around 26,600 euros. Its price in Indian Rupees is around Rs 23 to 24 lakh. However, the company has not yet clarified whether this car will be launched in India or not.

Design: Small SUV but strong looks
In terms of design, the company’s new styling is clearly visible in this new electric SUV. Its silhouette looks a lot like the Kia Syros, but it has been given the modern touch of electric cars. There is a new Tiger Face design in its front, which has become the identity of Kia. Many special design elements have been provided with it-

At the rear, the tail lamps are placed downwards, due to which the rear part of the car looks quite clean and simple. The thin rear glass and roof spoiler give it a more modern look.

Talking about the interior, the cabin of Kia EV2 has been made quite modern. In this, special attention has been paid to technology. The car has a triple screen setup, which includes-

Apart from this, the car has a two-spoke steering wheel and simple but premium interior design.

The company is offering it in both 4-seater and 5-seater options. In the 4-seater version, the rear seats can slide and recline, making the journey more comfortable. This version has a boot space of 403 litres. Whereas the 5-seater model has a boot space of 362 litres. 15 liters of frunk (front storage) is also provided in both the versions.
Battery, range and charging
Kia EV2 is offered with two battery options.
1. Base Version
- 42.2 kWh LFP battery
- WLTP range: about 317 km
2. Long Range Version
- 61.0 kWh NMC battery
- Range: about 448 km
DC fast charging support is available in both battery packs. According to the company, it takes less than 30 minutes to charge the battery from 10% to 80%.
When will production start?
According to the company, the standard version of this electric SUV will start being manufactured in the first quarter (Q1) of 2026. After this, the long range and GT-Line versions are likely to hit the market in June 2026.
Will Kia EV2 come to India?
At present, Kia has not clarified whether Kia EV2 will be launched in the Indian market or not. But considering the rapidly increasing demand for electric cars in India, it is believed that the company may consider this model in the coming time.
