After showing a massive turnout on the opening weekend, the week looks bright too for the Aditya Dhar directorial. After passing the crucial Monday test with flying colours, Shurandhar: The Revenge is keeping a stronghold at the international front too. The spy thriller released on March 19, and became the fastest Hindi film to enter the Rs 300 crore and Rs 400 crore clubs respectively within four days. It left behind Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 by a fine margin.
Dhurandhar 2 on way to Rs 1000 crore globally
According to Sacnilk, Dhurandhar 2’s run at the global front is staggering, too. The film’s worldwide gross crossed Rs 900 crore by Day 6 (Tuesday). That’s a rare feat for a non-holiday working day. It grossed a total of Rs 231.57 crore globally, taking its total worldwide gross collection to Rs 919.00 crore. Overseas markets, mainly North America, have played a crucial role in Dhurandhar 2’s success, as it continues to receive massive contributions from domestic circuits too. The movie is now within a stone’s throw distance from the 1000-crore club. If trade trends are to be believed, even that would be achieved in record time.
Dhurandhar 2’s theatrical run in India
Dhurandhar 2 started its theatrical run with record-breaking paid previews and a massive Day 1 collection. After getting an opening of Rs 102.55 crore, it earned a whopping Rs 80.72 crore on day two. It was followed by Dhurandhar 2, collecting Rs 113 crore on day three and Rs 114.85 crore on day four. The movie minted Rs 45.92 crore on day five, bringing its total collection to Rs 500.04 crore. The gross collection is Rs 596.16 crore. On Day 6, it is eyeing another Rs 50+ crore net in Hindi. It has crossed the 500-crore net mark in Hindi on Tuesday.

It takes the story of Hamza Ali Mazari, played by Ranveer Singh, forward to reveal his backstory as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, before he became an Indian spy in Pakistan. It follows the events after Hamza gets Akshaye Khanna’s character Rehman Dakait killed in the first outing, and how he manages to take down the mafia nexus and terrorism aimed at India.
