New Delhi [भारत]July 18 (ANI): A 45-year-old man was shot dead by unidentified bike-borne assailants in northwest Delhi’s Bawana area on Friday morning, police said. The deceased has been identified as Joginder alias Kala.
According to Delhi Police, the incident took place at around 8:15 am in Pooth Khurd village under Bawana police station area. After the attack, Joginder was immediately taken to MV Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
“A crime team has inspected the spot. An FIR is being registered in connection with the incident, and efforts are on to identify and arrest the accused persons,” police said. Police also said that further investigation into the case is underway to find out the motive behind the murder.
Young man commits suicide by killing his girlfriend in Burari
Earlier on July 17, a tragic incident was reported in Kamal Vihar area of Burari in the national capital, where a man allegedly shot himself dead after shooting his girlfriend. Delhi Police said that after the police control room received information, the bodies of the victims were found with fatal injuries and a weapon.
Initial investigation suggests that the youth took their lives after expressing deep grief over his family’s opposition to their marriage.
Speaking to ANI, North District Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Raja Banthia informed about the discovery and said that the officials have recovered the bodies with bullet injuries from the Kamal Vihar location. He said, “We received a PCR call around 3:30 pm (Thursday) informing us that a man and a woman had been shot in Kamal Vihar area of Burari. On reaching the spot, we found two bodies, a man and a woman, both of whom had been shot; a pistol was lying at the spot.” (ANI)
