Madhya Pradesh Cabinet meeting will be held on July 19 at historical Jagdishpur near Bhopal. This initiative of Mohan Yadav government is related to heritage conservation, tourism and public welfare.
Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has started a new tradition regarding organizing cabinet meetings in Madhya Pradesh. Now, Council of Ministers meetings are being organized not only in the Ministry of Bhopal, but also at different places of historical, cultural and tribal importance in the state. Its objective is to take development related decisions to every region of the state and to give recognition to local heritage at the national level.
In this sequence, a meeting of the Council of Ministers is being organized on July 19 in the historical village Jagdishpur located near the capital Bhopal. This place is known for its ancient palaces and historical heritage. The government believes that holding cabinet meetings at such places will increase awareness among the common people about these heritages and tourism will also get a new impetus.
Jagdishpur Cabinet Meeting: Historical heritage is getting new identity
The state government has earlier also organized cabinet meetings at places of historical and cultural importance like Maheshwar, Singrampur, Khajuraho, Pachmarhi, Rajwada and Nagalwadi. After these meetings, there has been an increase in people’s interest and knowledge about these places. The government believes that this initiative will give a new identity to the archaeological and cultural heritage of the state. Besides, tourism activities will also be promoted at these places in future.
MP Government Innovation: Seven cabinet meetings outside the capital in two and a half years
During the last two and a half years under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, apart from the regular meetings held in Bhopal, seven cabinet meetings have been organized in different districts of the state. These include districts like Jabalpur, Damoh, Khargone, Narmadapuram, Chhatarpur and Barwani. In all these meetings, many important policy decisions related to the development, public welfare and administration of the state were taken. This innovation has also been positively accepted by the general public.
Ujjain Cabinet Meeting: Meeting is also proposed in the city of Baba Mahakal
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has decided to organize meetings of the General Cabinet as well as the Agriculture Cabinet in different areas of the state. Under this scheme, a future cabinet meeting is also proposed in Ujjain, the city of Baba Mahakal. This initiative has improved coordination with local public representatives and senior officials. Besides, the aim of the government is also that decisions on problems and development related issues related to even the smallest areas of the state should be taken there itself.
Rani Durgavati And Ahilyabai Holkar: Places associated with the memories of great personalities got honour.
Such places have been selected for cabinet meetings, which are related to the great personalities and glorious history of the state. These include places associated with the memories of great personalities like the heroic Queen Durgavati, Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar and the popular ruler Raja Bhabhut Singh. The government has also paid tribute to these great personalities through meetings organized in Singrampur of Damoh, Maheshwar of Khargone, Pachmarhi of Narmadapuram, Khajuraho of Chhatarpur, Rajwada of Indore and Nagalwadi of Barwani.
Mahakaushal Region: This new tradition started from Jabalpur
After becoming the Chief Minister, Dr. Mohan Yadav started this initiative to convey the glorious history and great personalities of the state to the new generation. At the beginning of the year 2024, on January 3, a cabinet meeting was held outside the capital for the first time at Shakti Bhawan in Jabalpur.
After this, meetings of the Council of Ministers were also organized continuously at the World Heritage Site Khajuraho, the famous tourist spot Pachmarhi and other historical places.

- March 2, 2026: Council of Ministers meeting at Bhilat Baba Devsthal located in Nagalwadi tribal area of Barwani district.
- 19 July 2026: Cabinet meeting is being organized in the historical village Jagdishpur located near Bhopal.
