The minor boy, who was earlier being described as the victim of assault, is now himself facing serious allegations. On the complaint of the girl’s family, the police have registered a case against the boy under the POCSO Act.
Incident and shocking allegations
In this case the story has completely changed. The girl’s parents have filed a counter-complaint against the same boy who was attacked. Many shocking revelations have been made in the complaint made on the basis of the girl’s statement.
- Pressure to change religion: The boy allegedly pressured the girl to convert to Islam.
- Blackmail from pictures: He threatened that if the girl did not change her religion and marry him, he would leak her private photos on social media.
- Threat to kill: The complaint also states that the boy had threatened to kill the girl’s parents if she did not agree to his demands.

The girl was afraid to tell her parents
Sources say that the girl feared that her parents’ lives were in danger, so she did not tell anyone about it. She feared that if she did not listen to the boy and his family, they might harm her parents.
Round of complaints and counter-complaints

Complaint against Hindu activists: A case has been registered against six members of a Hindu organization for assaulting a minor boy.
Complaint against the boy and his parents: On the complaint of the girl’s parents, the police have registered a case against the minor boy under the POCSO Act and IT Act. An FIR has also been registered against the boy’s parents for encouraging his activities.

Understanding the sensitivity of the matter, Chikkamagaluru SP Jitendra Dayma expressed his views on the situation. He said, ‘We have received complaints from both sides. A full and impartial investigation is underway. We will reveal the truth very soon. The investigation is going on in full swing at the Mudigere police station and this new development has created an atmosphere of tension in the Malenadu area.
