TV9 Satta Sammelan 2026: Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev participated in TV9’s Satta Sammelan today i.e. on 24th March. During this, many questions and answers were asked to him, to which he answered candidly. Meanwhile he was asked whether he considered Avimukteshwaranand Maharaj as Shankaracharya or not? In response to this question, Baba Ramdev, citing the scriptures, explained the definition of Sadhu and Guru and told about those qualities without which no one can become a Guru.
Baba Ramdev said, whoever you see today has become a guru. If someone says that I am the guru of more than 100 crore people, then first of all the country should consider you as a guru. A Guru is one whom the country accepts with reverence. Ramdev further said that India is not a country of any one tradition or one Guru, but it is a country of Gurus, therefore no one can claim that he is the only Guru of all.

What is the qualification for Shankaracharya?
Talking about the dignity of the post of Shankaracharya, Baba Ramdev said that only the representative of Adi Shankaracharya can be the one who has the same strong character as him. Jagatguru is the one who has the brilliance and complete knowledge and science like Lord Shankar. To be a representative of Adi Shankaracharya, Ramanandacharya or Vallabhacharya, it is mandatory to have qualities like them. A saint is one who has dedicated himself to God and who does not have even an iota of ego within him.
26 qualities and scriptures of a sage
Baba Ramdev told that the qualities of a saint are mentioned in Ramcharitmanas, Shrimadbhagvadgeeta and Vedas. Discussing the 26 qualities of a sage, he said that a sage should first of all be devoted to Brahman. A true saint should not have any pride in power or wealth. A saint is one who rises above his personal interest and serves the welfare of all. A saint is one who is free from attachment to power and wealth, who has the light of knowledge and not the ego of position, the one who has all these qualities within him is the real saint.
