He said calling it just a film doesn’t do justice, adding that in the last two to three decades, nothing of this scale and design has been seen. Ram Gopal Varma also addressed the criticism around the film being labelled propaganda, and dismissed the argument. He said, “Propaganda ka maltab main nahi samajhta hu. Har ek ka ek viewpoint hai. Agar prosecution ek vyakti ko accuse thehrata hai to defence usko save karta hai. Sabka apna point of view hota hai aur Aditya Dhar ka point of view usne diya. Agar usme aap sehmat nahi ho, propaganda ya jhuth samajhte ho – aap bhi ek film banao na, uske khilaf.”

He said the term is often loosely used, and every filmmaker is entitled to present their own point of view. If someone disagrees with it, they are free to interpret it differently or even make a film of their own, he added.
