India is rapidly entering into global trade agreements. New deals are being made with America and Europe, due to which the domestic market is completely opening up for foreign companies. In such a situation, this question is bound to arise in the mind of the common Indian that what will happen to our own ‘Swadeshi’ campaign amidst this flood of foreign products? Will our local industries be able to survive in this tough competition? When Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev was asked this question in ‘TV9 Bharatvarsh Ke Satta Sammelan’ held on March 24, instead of being afraid, he presented a clear vision of making India the manufacturing boss of the entire world.
How will Swadeshi survive in the foreign market?
During the program, when the anchor asked that when foreign goods are about to come to India, how will your Swadeshi plan work? In response to this, Baba Ramdev made it clear that there is no need to be afraid of an open economy or the arrival of foreign companies. He believes that instead of remaining on the defensive, India should become so capable and powerful that our products rule the markets all over the world. He stressed that this country with a population of 150 crores will have to take its productive capacity to a level where the dominance of foreign products will automatically end.
Baba Ramdev told the mantra of success
Ramdev expressed his frank opinion on what role the common man should play in making India a global power. Expressing concern over today’s mobile addiction, he advised people to do ‘digital fasting’ i.e. stay away from digital devices for some time. He said that people are wasting eight hours every day on useless talks on the phone, while he himself watches TV only for half an hour. Giving an example of his daily routine, he said that he works continuously from 3 am to 10 pm, and sometimes even till midnight. Ramdev’s direct message was that if every Indian diverts his attention from useless things and works honestly for eight to sixteen hours, then the picture of the country can change.
China’s monopoly will be broken, India will become the new ‘manufacturing hub’
Today, China occupies 50 to 70 percent of the global market. Baba Ramdev called for breaking this monopoly. While closely analyzing the current situation of the global economy, he said that in the coming 5 to 10 years, new investment in the Middle East is going to be almost negligible and investors are also withdrawing the money that has been invested. There is a huge labor problem in Europe, China has reached its maximum potential and Africa is still 50 years behind India in the race of development. Baba said that this is the right time to find ‘opportunity in disaster’. Be it FMCG, two-wheelers, four-wheelers or electronic gadgets and cameras, India should increase its manufacturing capacity so much that investors from all over the world come here and in the future market, it is not China but India that dominates.
Concluding his speech, Ramdev said in strong words and laughingly that we do not need to be afraid of America or China, because “the one who is afraid, dies.” If we adopt Swadeshi and make ourselves capable through efforts, then no one can scare us and anyone who tries to scare us will himself be destroyed.
